Armenian rescuers tow stranded boat to shore on Lake Sevan

Armenian emergency crews brought a stranded boat and its passenger safely to shore on Lake Sevan after the vessel broke down near the village of Artanish early on Monday.

The Rescue Service of the Interior Ministry said it received an emergency call at 12:52 a.m. local time reporting that a boat had malfunctioned on the lake with a citizen on board who required assistance.

A special water rescue unit from the Gegharkunik regional division was dispatched to the scene and the team successfully towed the disabled vessel and its passenger back to land, the ministry added.
