Another ethnic Talysh intends to move to Armenia amid human rights violations in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijani citizen Eldaniz Guliyev, who as an ethnic Talysh, has warned the Azerbaijani authorities that he will relocate to Armenia, Talishinfo media outlet reports citing Talish blogger Azar Kazimov.
Eldaniz Guliyev, who lives in Lerik region of Azerbaijan, has posted his letter addressed to the Azerbaijani president in his facebook page. The post tells that the executive authorities of the district forcibly seized his land from him. Afterwards he was summoned to the police station and threatened to refrain from complaining.
Guliyev noted that amid such a complicated situation the only way out for his is moving to Armenia, as his complaints are ignored in Azerbaijan.
To note, last week Shahin Mirzoev requested a temporary asylum from the Armenian authorities, as being a member of Talysh Cultural Council, participant of Talysh freedom movement, reporter of “Tolishi Sado” newspaper he was obliged to flee from Azerbaijan due to the persecutions against ethnic and religious minorities and gross violations of their rights. He moved to Armenia with his children and sick wife.
