Davtyan: It’s up to Armenian citizens to make final decision on constitutional reforms
There has been a lot of criticism as well before Armenia’s Basic Law was adopted through a national referendum on July 5, 1995, member of ruling Republican Party of Armenia parliamentary faction Artak Davtyan told reporters on Thursday.
Much criticism was also voiced when the Constitution was amended in 2005, he noted.
“Now, we have chosen the same path: instead of familiarizing with the contents of the constitutional reforms, we are looking for some narrow matters and are trying to present them as the main aim of the constitutional reforms,” Mr Davtyan said.
In his words, after all, it is up to Armenian citizens to make a final decision on the constitutional reforms.
