Eurovision 2012 in Azerbaijan profoundly suspected
Number of countries rejecting participation in Baku-hosted Eurovision song contest is supposed to grow rapidly, Pia.az reported.
The only reason to it is that Azerbaijan isn’t a free country. Eurovision international song contest has a slogan which says “Free country, free music”, thus the European countries are alarmed to allow an authoritarian country like Azerbaijan host the contest.
Countries committed to European values have profound suspects in this respect. Poland and Iceland have declared without any justification that they are not going to attend the contest in Azerbaijan.
According to the source the contest is threatened not be held in Baku because of political prisoners and authorities’ limits to hold free rallies.
It’s said that Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, France, Denmark and Luxemburg are searching for ways to miss their participation without creating a diplomatic crisis with Baku.
