 “The military budget of Azerbaijan doesn’t interest the civilians in Karabakh. In the beginning of 90th Azerbaijan had advantage of military equipments, but we’ve seen what happened to them,” said NKR National Assembly vice Speaker Arthur Tovmasyan to Panorama.am referring to the growing of Azerbaijan’s military budget.

“Remember the treaty of Bishkek, 1994, when they were begging to sign it. It’s not always that the military equipments define the end of the war. It has been repeatedly proven by the international experience,” said the MP from Artsakh.

The official has reminded the war of Afghanistan when the USSR failed to defeat it, and the same happened to Vietnam.
“We’ve established our statehood, we have powerful army and strengthening economy, and nothing can scare us. We must either live independent or die.

Violating the international norms Azerbaijan purchases armaments, and increases its military budget. Isn’t it noticeable? Why doesn’t the international community react on it? We’re mainly alarmed by the indifference of the international community,” said A. Tovmasyan.

“The NKR Defense Army is capable to stop any incursion of the rival, to transfer the war to the rival’s territory and to end the war as it happened in 90s,” concluded the official.
