Lavrov: Russia committed to support peaceful settlement of NK conflict
Russia is committed to support the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict either as OSCE Minsk group co-chair state or independently, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told a joint news conference with his Armenian counterpart in Yerevan on Monday. Russia will also take into account the wishes of the sides, as both Armenia and Azerbaijan are friendly countries of Russia.
Hailing the Minsk group co-chairs’ activities, the Russian FM stated that the high assessment of their mission is reflected in tripartite statements of Russian, Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents.
“Official disposition of the two states are set on a document, which the two states haven’t changed,” said S. Lavrov.
