Putin: We hope to see positive macroeconomic effect from Armenia’s accession to EEU
Russian President Vladimir Putin, in Minsk, expressed hope that the parliaments of the Eurasian Economic Union member states will ratify the treaty on Armenia's accession by the end of this year.
He said he expects positive macroeconomic effect from Armenia’s membership in the Union.
“We hope to see positive macroeconomic effect in 1-2 years after Armenia's accession,” Putin said.
Noting an increase in trade turnover between the Union member states, he stressed that other economic indicators - GDP, consumer demand, real income and employment - should improve.
