Victims of 1999 terror act commemorated in Yerevan
On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the terror attack in the Armenian National Assembly, on Monday, National Assembly Speaker Galust Sahakyan, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, Deputy Speakers Hermine Naghdalyan and Edward Sharmazanov, parliamentarians, relatives of the victims and journalists paid tribute to the memory of the terror attack victims. They laid flowers at the memorial for National Heroes of Armenia Karen Demirchyan and Vazgen Sargsyan, as well as MPs and government members Yuri Bakhshyan, Armenak Armenakyan, Ruben Miroyan, Michael Kotanyan, Henrik Abrahamyan, and Leonard Petrosyan, the press service of the National Assembly reports.
Galust Sahakyan noted that the tragedy of 1999 never becomes past. He said that the terrorist act victims had great ideas and plans and he considers himself also responsible for their fulfillment.
Galust Sahakyan and Hovik Abrahamyan then visited the Komitas Pantheon and Yerablur Pantheon and paid their respects to the memory of Karen Demirchyan and Vazgen Sargsyan.
