PACE co-rapporteurs to visit Armenia for the monitoring of electoral reform and the fight against corruption
Co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE Alan Meale (United Kingdom, SOC) and Giuseppe Galati (Italy, EPP/CD), will make a fact-finding visit to Armenia on 11 and 12 May 2016 for the monitoring of obligations and commitments by the state, focusing on the follow-up to constitutional changes, electoral reform and the fight against corruption.
According to the press releases issued by the PACE website, co-rapporteurs are due to meet the President, the Prime Minister, the Justice Minister and the Prosecutor General, as well as the head of the Commission on Ethics for High-Ranking Officials and the Chief of Government Staff.
Talks are also scheduled with representatives of different factions in the parliament, members of the Armenian delegation to PACE and civil society representatives, reads the statement.
