Lavrov promises thorough investigation concerning Moscow fire
Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov promised his Kyrgyzstan counterpart, Erlan Abdyldaev on August 29 that Russian authorities would conduct a thorough investigation concerning the fire that claimed the lives of 17 young women, including 3 Russian and 14 Kyrgyzstani and that all of those found to be responsible for the tragedy would be held accountable, RFE/RL informs.
According to the source, Kyrgyzstan has declared a national day of mourning after on August 29.
Meanwhile, Moscow citizens were laying flowers outside of Kyrgyzstan's embassy in the Russian capital to express condolences over the deaths in the fire.
The bodies of the Kyrgyz victims of the blaze were due to be flown to Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan's southern city of Osh on the afternoon of August 29.
