EU to increase financial assistance allocated to Armenia by 20-25% - Piotr Świtalski
The European Union is planning to increase the financial allocations aimed at assistance and development reforms in Armenia, EU Ambassador Piotr Świtalski stated today at the 17th meeting of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee.
According to the EU official, Armenia has embarked on a range of ambitious reforms pertaining to different spheres, from human rights to economic development, while the EU deems it a priority to provide financial assistance for that initiative.
In the interim, Świtalski expressed hope the recently signed Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between the organization and Armenia will expand the Armenia-EU cooperation framework.
“This Agreement will help to enhance the dialogue in all spheres. I should note, Armenia has become the first country in the Eastern Neighborhood states that negotiated and signed a new kind of document that could be benefit to our relations,” the Ambassador stressed.
