Newly-appointed head of NSC outlines ways of improving Armenia’s security policy
“I am confident that the process of working out the security policy of Armenia should be placed on a new level. Armenia faces number of challenges that require solutions of political thought,” the newly-appointed head of Armenia’s National Security Council (NSC) Armen Grigoryan stated today.
Grigoryan’s remarks came during the meeting with NSC staff where Armenian Prime Minister Nikol presented the new head of the Council.
Grigoryan assured that the new team will have the capability to solve the matters Armenia faces, elevate the level of Armenian security and present solutions to the existing challenges.
PM Pashinyan in turn underlined that the sphere of security and development of the armed forces are priorities for Armenia’s authorities.
The Security Council has to become the nerve center that will transmit impulses to the defense agency. The sphere of security and normal development of the armed forces are priorities for our country," the cabinet of ministers’ press service quoted the Armenian PM as saying. He added that "citizens should be confident that the government has all the necessary tools to provide the country’s security."
"It is necessary to detect all problems and find solutions to them," Pashinyan stressed.
