Armenia’s parliamentary staff, Korean KOICA reach agreement on support
A delegation of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) paid a visit to the Armenian National Assembly from 12 to 19 May as a continuation of negotiations held and works done in 2017.
The visit focused on the programs and perspectives of cooperation between the Armenian parliament and the Korean agency, the parliament’s press service told Panorama.am.
The Korean delegation discussed the possibilities and the content of providing expanded institutional support to the National Assembly with its staff members now when the parliament's powers are expanded.
As a result of discussions, a preliminary agreement was reached on technical upgrades of the parliament’s public hearings and committee session halls, as well as on re-equipment of the synchronous interpretation systems.
The technical renovation will be combined with the parliament’s technical and head staff training programs, within the framework of which the KOICA experts are expected to visit Armenia in November-December 2018 to ensure the efficiency of the planned works.
