Armenian parliament passes several bills at today’s delayed sitting
The regular sitting of the Armenian National Assembly was eventually convened today after nearly two hours of delay. The session failed to kick off on Wednesday morning amid lack of quorum.
The lawmakers passed several bills debated at Tuesday’s sitting.
The government-submitted draft law on making amendments and supplements to the law on electronic communication was adopted in the second reading and in full with 59 votes in favor.
MPs passed the bill on amending the law on free economic zones also with 59 votes in favour, while the draft law proposing to amend the law on licensing passed the first parliamentary reading with 57 votes.
Few other bills were also adopted at today’s sitting.
Speaker Ara Babloyan said the PMs will meet again at 4:30pm for a Q&A session with the government.
