Government declares two consecutive Saturdays as working days for Francophonie summit
The Armenian government has shifted the 11 October and 12 October non-working days to two consecutive Saturdays - October 27 and November 3, respectively.
The decision was adopted at today’s Cabinet meeting, reports Panorama.am.
Earlier on 4 October, the Armenian parliament voted to back the government-submitted decision to declare 11 and 12 October as special non-working days over the Francophonie summit to facilitate organizational matters in the capital.
At today’s meeting, Vice Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan offered to set 20 and 27 October as working days instead, but the proposal was not approved given the fact 20 October will see local self-government elections, as well as Erebuni-Yerevan celebrations.
