Armenian PM warns against possible ‘counterrevolution’ in Artsakh
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia took to Facebook on Friday morning to warn against possible counterrevolutionary developments in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) after his trip to the country.
“Numerous media reports suggest some are trying to make Artsakh a hotbed of counterrevolution.
"Let me share my impressions from my latest visit to Artsakh: should anyone attempt to make Artsakh a hotbed of counterrevolution, the people in Artsakh will turn it into a hotbed of revolution,” the post read.
The PM visited Artsakh on May 9 to attend the triple holiday celebrations in the country. Armenia’s third President Serzh Sargsyan also took part in the ceremonies.
Meantime, a petition of the current and former Artsakh presidents for the release of second President Robert Kocharyan from custody to enable him to attend the official celebrations was turned down.
