Turkey has no role in the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict
“There is nothing strange in the meeting between Turkish foreing minister and the OSCE Minsk Group CO-Chairs,” Armenian FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan stated at the Q&A session in parliament on Wednesday. At a request by one of the deputies to comment on the fact of the meeting and whether the Armenian side had been notified about the meeting and the topic of the discussion.
“We are working with the Minsk Group Co-Chairs in full confidence and know their approach to the work. In this respect, there is nothing strange,” Mnatsakanyan said, adding the meeting of the Co-Chairs with the Turkish minister was not the first one.
In Mnatsakanyan’s word, the only difference this time was that Turkish foreign ministry issued a statement after the meeting that contained no new idea. The response of the Armenian foreign ministry followed to that statement.
With its unfriendly policy toward Armenia and is people which is also expressed in unilateral military and political support to Azerbaijan, Turkey has no role in the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh issue. We have stressed this on numerous occasions and reiterate our position,” Mnatsakanyan said.
