Kim Kardashian admits she hid in bathroom to escape her sreaming kids

Kim Kardashian has revealed she was forced to lock herself in a bathroom to escape the wrath of her four kids, The Mirror reports.

Kim shares her offspring with ex-husband Kanye West. She’s a doting mum to North, 10, Saint, eight, Chicago, six, and Psalm, five. In new scenes from her Disney+ show The Kardashians, the 43-year-old Skims founder admitted she “couldn’t believe” the way her kids were behaving.

Sitting in a car while on the way to jury duty, Kim was seen chatting on the phone to an unnamed friend when she began to vent about her children, confessing she was a “push over” when it came to her kids.

“Hey can I vent for one sec? It’s been an extra troubling week where I was just like I can’t do it anymore,” Kim began, adding: “I just… anything in that home is just chaotic right now. Oh my God, no, what I wanted to say was I had a Zoom at the house with all my kids there, banging on the door, just screaming, and I was literally hiding in a bathroom with the door locked as I was just like, I can’t believe this. I mean I can believe it, but that’s like my biggest nightmare.”

Elaborating on her parenting techniques in a confessional, Kim told cameras: “Sometimes it gets, just like a little intense. I want to be more strict like Khloe but I don’t know why I have a hard time just saying no is no. I think I also just don’t want to deal with the whining and the tears of not getting their way.”

“They know when to con me and when to throw the little, you know, start with the tears so I’m like, ‘Stop, stop, sure, take an iPad,’ you know, just stop. I just have to be like, ‘I don’t care if you’re gonna throw a tantrum in front of everyone right now. The answer is no’,” Kim noted.

Kim’s family drama comes after she showcased her dramatic weight loss as she slipped into one of Janet Jackson's iconic outfits. The reality star-turned-lawyer purchased Janet's outfit from the iconic 1993 music video for her single, If, three years ago at an auction. Kim spent a whopping $25,000 (£19,571) on the costume back in 2021, explaining she was "such a fan". At the time, Kim took to her Instagram Stories saying: "For @janetjackson's bday bc I'm such a fan I can't believe I won this on juliens_auctions. Happy birthday queen!"

Amazon to release documentary about Céline Dion

A new documentary about Céline Dion aims to educate about stiff person syndrome, the neurological disorder the singer has been diagnosed with.

Amazon-MGM will release I Am: Céline Dion, a film that spans a year in the life of the globally successful singer as she deals with the condition that affects her spinal cord and brain, the Guardian reports.

“This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me,” Dion said in a statement. “As the road to resuming my performing career continues, I have realized how much I have missed it, of being able to see my fans. During this absence, I decided I wanted to document this part of my life to help others who share this diagnosis.” She added that she hopes the film will “raise awareness of this little-known condition”.

The official synopsis calls it an “emotional, energetic and poetic love letter to music” and Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, praises it as “a raw, intimate portrayal of a pivotal time”.

Dion told fans in December 2022 that she was dealing with stiff person syndrome in an Instagram video, saying that the spasms involved with the condition “affect every aspect of my daily life”. It’s prevented Dion from performing and in May 2023, she cancelled all future tour dates.

In December 2023, her sister told the Canadian website 7 Jours that she “doesn’t have control over her muscles” but was determined to return to the stage.

Shakira's statue unveiled in her Colombian hometown

Colombian superstar Shakira's Caribbean home city of Barranquilla unveiled a 6.5-meter (21.3-foot) hip-swaying statue in her honor on Tuesday, AFP reported.

The towering bronze and aluminum creation depicts the singer in a bikini top, bare middle and a long, flowing skirt, her hands clasped over her head and one hip jutting out in one of her characteristic dance moves.

"Hips that do not lie, a unique talent, a voice that moves masses," reads the inscription at the base of the sculpture unveiled on the banks of the Magdalena River at a ceremony attended by Shakira's parents William Mebarak and Nidia Ripoll.

"Hips don't lie" is the title of one of 46-year-old Shakira's award-winning songs.

On the platform X, the singer thanked sculptor Yino Marquez and his art student collaborators for "this example of the enormous artistic talent of the people of my country."

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, an icon of Latina girl power, has sold some 80 million albums worldwide and won three Grammy awards.

She has recently been in the news for completely different reasons, investigated over unpaid taxes in Spain and paying millions of euros in settlements.

In 2021, Shakira was named in the "Pandora Papers" leaks, which revealed the wealth and tax avoidance strategies of the global elite.

She has since released a new hit song with Argentine DJ Bizarrap that has been viewed more than 666 million times on YouTube and won 2023 song of the year at the Latin Grammy Awards.
