Armenia reports 200 new coronavirus cases, 8 more deaths on August 8
Armenia has confirmed 200 new coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 40,185 as of 11 a.m. Saturday, August 8, the Ministry of Health reports.
387 more patients have beaten COVID-19 with the total number of recoveries now standing at 32,395.
The coronavirus death toll has increased by 8 to 785.
The latest victims were 68 (female), 64 (female), 90 (male), 78 (male), 82 (female), 62 (male), 73 (female) and 51 (female) years old. Except for the last one, all had underlying chronic health conditions.
The number of active cases is 6,777.
As many as 174,438 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
