‘Stand Up, Armenia!’, a civic movement that started carrying out activities on July 11, plans to stage a rally in Republic Square of Yerevan on August 11, the movement coordinator Andreas Ghukasyan said at a press conference today.
“During the rally we will present the work done over the past month, give an assessment of the actions taken against the rise in electricity tariffs from June until now, and provide an explanation concerning the demands made,” he said.
‘Stand Up, Armenia’ movement demands resignations of members of Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC), nationalization of Electric Networks of Armenia Company, and prosecution of those responsible for the crisis in energy sector.
