An agreement has been reached to hold a new meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers with the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan told a joint news conference with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Yerevan on Wednesday.
He said that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are set to visit the region, but the dates have not been announced yet.

"Meetings are planned, at least an agreement has been reached to continue the [peace] process and organize a new meeting,” he said.

At the same time, Mirzoyan underlined that Armenia welcomes the resumption of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace talks under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group. According to him, Yerevan considers the Karabakh conflict settlement possible only through peace talks within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship.

Mirzoyan noted that during the meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart and OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs in New York, concrete agreements were reached on humanitarian issues, particularly over the release of Armenian prisoners of war (POWs), clarification of the fates of missing persons, as well as free access to the Armenian cultural and historical monuments in the territories controlled by Azerbaijan.
