Two garbage collectors stabbed in Yerevan last night, deputy mayor says
Two garbage collectors employed by the Yerevan Municipality were stabbed while performing their work in the Avan-Arinj district last night, Deputy Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan said in a social media post.
“An emergency occurred tonight. Two employees of the Yerevan Municipality Waste Disposal and Sanitary Cleaning Department were stabbed while performing their duties. They are hospitalized currently,” he wrote on Thursday.
“Fortunately, the injures are not life-threatening. Thank you to the ambulance medics and police officers for their rapid response. I wish a speedy recovery to our colleagues,” Avinyan said.
The police have not yet released a statement on the incident.
