Parliament speaker refuses to comment on statement of Pashinyan's son
The speaker of the Armenian parliament, Alen Simonyan, on Tuesday refused to comment on the statement of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's son, who denied reports that he had been attacked.
Simonyan claimed on Monday that Ashot Pashinyan had been assaulted, without elaborating further. He called the attack “yet another provocation” committed against government officials and their relatives.
Pashinyan's son rejected the reports in a statement on Tuesday.
Simonyan categorically refused to comment on his statement when he spoke to reporters in the National Assembly.
“I am not going to make any comments,” Simonyan said.
