Artur Vanetsyan congratulates new Artsakh president
The leader of the Homeland Party, Artur Vanetsyan, has offered congratulations to Samvel Shahramanyan on his election as Artsakh president.
Shahramanyan was elected as new Artsakh president in an extraordinary parliament session on Saturday. Four out of five Artsakh parliament factions on Wednesday nominated him for the post of president. He was installed as state minister a day before Arayik Harutyunyan’s resignation from the post of president.
In his message, Vanetsyan hailed the election as a show of the Artsakh people’s “sobriety, strong will and steadfastness to face with unwavering determination the major challenges facing Artsakh.”
“I am confident that you will be able to preserve internal stability and public solidarity in Artsakh, to cope with the impacts of the illegal Azerbaijani blockade and to rightfully lead Artsakh in these difficult times,” Vanetsyan said, calling for “decisive and responsible decisions” to ensure the exercise of the Artsakh people’s rights.
“May your tenure as president bring peace, stability and prosperity to the Republic of Artsakh!,” he added.
