EU mulls non-lethal military aid to Armenia, envoy says
The European Union is considering providing non-lethal military aid to Armenia, the head of the EU Delegation in Yerevan, Vassilis Maragos, said on Thursday.
Speaking at parliamentary hearings, he hailed the ongoing dynamic processes for further development of Armenia-EU relations.
“The EU is considering non-lethal support to the Armenian military to strengthen its capacities,” the EU envoy said. "This is under the European Peace Facility."
Maragos reiterated the EU commitment to promote peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
