Narek Karapetyan launches free transport service for six communities in Armenia's Lori
MP-elect Narek Karapetyan has launched a free transport service for residents of six communities in Armenia's northern Lori Province, delivering on one of the commitments he made during the recent parliamentary election campaign.
The service began operating on Monday, providing free transportation between the town of Stepanavan and the communities of Lori Berd, Lejan, Agarak, Yaghdan and Koghes in both directions, Armat Media reported.
Karapetyan, who was elected to parliament on the ticket of the Strong Armenia alliance, visited the communities with his team following the June 7 parliamentary elections, during which the alliance secured second place. The visits focused on identifying residents' concerns and assessing the communities' most pressing needs.
Earlier this month, Karapetyan announced the donation of a combine harvester to support local farmers by helping reduce the burden of the harvest season.
