Official Baku accuses WikiLeaks of lying
The press service of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made remarks over the documents published by WikiLeaks claiming the site is cheating. “We declare that the content of those documents published in that web site concerning to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev are not true and are groundless,” official release reads according to “AzerTaj”.
The materials are titled “open provocation aimed to harm the relations of Azerbaijan with its neighbors and to create atmosphere of mistrust among the leaders of the states.”
Novruz Mammadov, head of the Presidential Administration's international relations department, said it looked as though someone was out to cause damage.
"It seems there are forces who intend to damage relations between various states and they are already trying to do this. This is a dangerous trend," he said.
