Edward Snowden, former US National Security Agency’s employee and whistleblower, who leaked secret US documents last year may have more to say, he revealed in a personal interview to NBC in Moscow, which will air on Wednesday, May 28, RIA Novosti reported. 

"He is widely referred to these days as the most wanted man in the world. The interview was months in the making and cloaked in the secrecy of his life as a fugitive in exile overseas," said NBC's managing editor Brian Williams, who conducted the interview, said in the preview on the channel's website.

"We will be able to see and hear him tell his story, including a lot we have not heard before. And as you will see and hear, Edward Snowden has a lot more to say," he said.

Snowden leaked information to press about the extensive electronic surveillance programs conducted by the US government around the globe, including eavesdropping on American citizens and foreign leaders. The revelations have sparked domestic controversy and strained relations between the US and its allies.

The leaker may have taken up to 1.7 million documents from NSA, the channel cited US officials.

The US authorities have rejected claims that Snowden is a whistleblower, insisting that he committed crimes and should stand trial at home. They charged Snowden with espionage and took away his passport.

The 30-year-old has been residing in Russia for a little under a year, after the local authorities granted him temporary asylum, which he sought in 21 countries. He is now awaiting renewal of his asylum status in June.
