Expert: Armenia facing existential threats
Armenia is facing existential threats amid radical changes in and around the country, Iran specialist Vardan Voskanyan claims.
“Many of us, unfortunately, have not yet realized, or rather do not want to realize that fundamental changes have taken place in and around Armenia,” he wrote on Facebook late on Sunday.
“Swaths of Armenian and Artsakh territory are occupied by the enemy, the security system is severely undermined, while we, as a people and a state, are facing existential threats and challenges,” the expert stated.
“The “agenda” on the fight against, for example, throwing away cigarette butts can no longer be of even the slightest interest to anyone in Armenia now,” Voskanyan said, adding it may also be aimed at distracting the people’s attention from big problems.
